Dear,

When S32K144, model: FS32k144UAVLL was used, the chip was locked after being burned by CYCLONE, a production tool. At present, 20 prototypes were burned, all of which had the same problem.

The operation process is as follows:

1. In the pre-production prototype, after using the JLINK burning program, it can be re-burned in either debug mode or download mode, and it is also normal to use JFLASH to directly encrypt the hex burning.

2. After using the CYCLONE tool of the production line to burn the program, it will appear that after burning the program once, the chip program cannot be updated later. Write the program to create the project interface is as follows, after the configuration is completed click the lower right button to write the program. See Figure 1 for details.

3. Use the CYCLONE tool to complete the writing. The tool display interface is shown in Figure 2.

4. After the program is burned, no connection can be established using CYCLONE or JLINK, as shown in Figure 3.

May I ask: What are the specific reasons for this problem? How to solve this problem? Thank you.

Hi @jack_huang1,

I would recommend contacting PEMicro as this is their tool.

Is the program working on the MCUs after power-on reset?

Or is the MCU in reset? Can you scope the reset pin?

What is the error message from Cyclone?

Do you secure the MCU? What is the content of the Flash configuration field?

Thanks,

BR, Daniel

Dear,

At present, after using CYCLONE to burn, the boot is normal, but can not be upgraded again.

Is encryption used in the software and the use of CYCLONE tool caused by selecting the SECURE DEVICE option?

         Thank you!

           Best Regards!

Hello @jack_huang1,

Regarding Cyclone, please contact PE Micro, we don't use this programmer here.

Have you tried using J-link commander? Can you connect the MCU there?

If so, can you use the Unlock Kinetis command to mass erase the MCU?

Thanks,

BR, Daniel
