MR-CANHUBK344 SPI MOSI / MISO the wrong way round

Are the SPI MOSI and MISO signals connected the wrong way round. Looking at the MR-CANHUBK344 schematic SPI3 for example, LPSPI3_MISO connects to pin 8 of the MCU S32K344_172MAXQFP. This pin can be configured as LPSPI3_SOUT (serial data output) but MISO is Master In Slave Out so should this not be connected to LPSPI3_SIN. LPSPI3_MOSI connects to LPSPI3_SIN, but should this not connect to SOUT; Master Out Slave In.

Thanks for the update. It doesn't really answer my question. Should SOUT connect to MOSI, and SIN connect to MISO?

Hi @cliver1

I am sorry if my previous explanation was not clear. What I meant is that the LPSPI connections are not incorrect. While the default pin configuration might seem reversed, it is important to keep in mind that these pins can be reconfigured. This means that what is normally an output can be set as an input, and vice versa. The current connections were made with this flexibility in mind, allowing for a change from the default setup.

Hi @cliver1

In this case, it is important to note that the default SPI pin configuration can be changed. To do this, you need to modify the LPSPIx → CFGR1[PINCFG] register.

If you are using ConfigTools, I recommend checking out the following thread: MR-CANHUBK344 SPI Setup

It explains how to make this change directly within the tool.
