Hi, we are currently working on a BMS application with the MC33771C analog front end that will communicate with the S32K344 controller via TPL. I have researched but could not find any drivers or smaple projects suitable for the S32K3 controller, only for the S32K1.

Are these available anywhere or in the planning stages?

There was also a BMS software reference design announced for the S32K3 controller, is there a date when it will be released?

Hi Johannes,

The BMS reference design with the new S32K3 MCU and latest MC33775 BCC is planned to be released in Q2 2022. As part of this ref design will be a driver for the MC33775 only.

If you intend to use the MC33771C, you will have to port the driver available for the S32K1. It should be pretty easy by changing low-level layer for SPI and DMA.

Best regards,

Tomas

Hi NXP supportors,

I bought 2 EVBs  of https://www.nxp.com/design/designs/rd33771-48vevm-reference-design:RD33771-48VEVM#Design-Resources and facing an issue that from its schematics I can't find where is the current path when I connect a battery pack or using a slider battery pack emulator.

search VB_ISENSE_+ or VB_ISENSE_- but got nothing from
