How to view the values of SysTick and NVIC registers in s32ds 3.4

Dear NXP experts,

In version 3.4 of S32DS, I am using the S32K142W MCU chip. Upon entering debug mode, I attempted to view the values of registers such as SYST_CSR, NVIC_ISER0 through NVIC_ISER15. However, I was unable to locate these registers.

Please check the "Peripheral Registers" tab instead of the "Arm System Registers":

In the environment based on S32DS V3.4, my "Peripheral Registers" tab does not display any register content.

However, my 'EmbSys Register' displays commonly used peripheral registers, but there is also no ARM core register information inside.

The peripherals tab is only available on an active debug session. I cannot see from your screenshots if this is the case, could you confirm if there is an active session while trying to read the registers?

I apologize, you are correct, I got confused between the debugger options.

It seems that in older S32DS versions, the SVD ARM core registers are not supported. For example, in S32DS 3.6.0, SVD configuration is supported, and if the option is enabled, you can see SVC, SysTick & NVIC:

Project background: I am using "S32SDK_S32K1XX_STM_ 4.0.3", which can only be used in the S32DS V3.4 environment. S32DS V3.6 does not support "S32SDK_S32K1XX_STM_ 4.0.3", so I cannot upgrade to S32DS V3.6.

My S32DS software version is V3.4, not V3.6. Therefore, in the current development environment, I cannot see the values of Systick and NVIC registers, right?

Yes, in your environment, ARM registers are not available. I believe support was added from S32DS 3.5.

     I don't agree with your point of view. In the S32DS V3.4 environment, using Expressions allows you to view the register contents of NVIC and Systick. As shown in the following figure:

I apologize; I didn't take into consideration saving them as an expression from the application code.

You are correct, you can view the register contents in the expressions tab if declared, just keep in mind that support from the debugger's point of view for NVIC and Systick was not added until later with SVD.
