Hey all,

I want to use S32K3 BMS GEN1 SDK AUTOSAR 4.4 R21-11 Version 1.0.3 with my S32K144EVB however I can not see the BMS driver in Peripherals tool while using  S32K1xx SDK 3.0.3.

When I configured the S32K3 BMS GEN1 SDK with the S32K3 Real-Time Drivers AUTOSAR R21-11 Version 3.0.0, all the configurations and SDK components appeared correctly without any issues.

I believe this happens because of the S32K1 RTD. I know that the BMS bundle compatible with the S32K3 RTD but thats not mean it is impossible to use with S32K1?

If its possible and it doesn't require to much effort could you please navigate me?

Also, I tried to install S32K3 BMS GEN1 manually (attaching SDK) but I failed then I gave up.

I think it should not be so difficult to use this bundle on S32K1 and there should be informative documentation about implementing on S32K1

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Unfortunatelly such is not possible.

the BMS package was developed for S32K3 and all its includes and references use the S32K3 driver package.

in other words you wont be to able compile it with S32K1 SDK. There are even different cores used.

please respect the release notes.

Even different version of SDK or S32DS will make you hard time to compile the project.\

best regards,

Peter

Hey,

Thank you for your response, @petervlna .

I'm aware that the BMS package was developed for the S32K3 platform, but I was hoping it would be configurable for use with S32K1 series—even those outside the NXP ecosystem MCUs.

This limitation unfortunately narrows the scope of my project and creates a strong dependency on the S32K3 series. I was hoping to find some guidance or support regarding the adaptation of the BMS SDK to non-S32K3 MCUs.

That said, my question has been answered, so I’ll go ahead and close the post.
