Create Drivers for S32K344 with EB Tresos and S32DS

Hello,

I’m working on an NXP S32K344 project and have the following tools:

• S32 Design Studio (S32DS)
• EB Tresos Studio
• Real-Time Drivers (RTD)

I’ve already checked out the example projects provided by NXP, but I’m looking to create everything from scratch for a better understanding of the process. Specifically, I’d like to know:

• How to configure peripherals in EB Tresos and generate the necessary code.
• How to integrate the generated code into an S32DS project.
• Are there any guides, tutorials, or step-by-step instructions I can follow for this process?

Any advice, documentation links, or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @MCatana

You can actually find various guides and supporting videos on how to use EB Tresos from Elektrobits' page: Working with EB tresos Studio – Elektrobit. These include creating a project, configuring the modules and generating the code.

Regarding S32DS integration, you can refer to the Introduction to NXP AUTOSAR® MCAL Software training. It shows EB Tresos Studio configuration tool to generate code which is then used in application code.

That said, I recommend using S32DS as a whole since it also supports MCAL with its own tresos-style configurator with the code generation as well. Also, I've attached a document which shows how to integrate MCAL with the S32K344 in S32DS.
