I am working on a battery management system project using S32K311evb-Q100 and I want to know if it’s compatible with FRDM33772BSPIEVB or FRDM33772CSPEVB to work as battery cell controller. If not what is the other NXP hardware choices?. Also, there are differences between the MC33772B and MC33772C?

appreciate your assistance, looking forward to guide me to choose the appropriate  component for the project.

My regards,

Dear Osama,

please refer to our Automotive Software Package Manager for software to our BCCs. You can find there recommended Evaluation boards. Unfortunately the S32K311 is not included there. I guess you could adjust a code for the S32K311, but this would be very difficult. I would rather recommend you to use dedicated MCU boards for dedicated BCC boards.

I apologize for inconvenience.

With Best Regards,

Jozef

Dear Osama,

the MC33772C is newer, than the MC33772B. For comparison between these two generations, please refer to the AN12633. Although 14 channel MC33771B and MC33771C are mentioned there, it is also valid for the 6 channel MC33772x. Only difference is the number of channels.

For the recommended MCU boards for the MC33772B please refer to the FRDM33772BSPIEVB user guide. First choice is the FRDM-KL25Z

For the FRDM33772CSPEVB, the recommended MCU board is S32K144EVB-Q100. Please refer to the UM11561 attached. For the recommended combinations there is a software created and also documents how to work with the hardware and software.

For our BCCs (Battery Cell Controllers) portfolio please refer to the following links.
