Hello,

In Linux fsl-s32-gen1.dtsi, this memory "hse_reserved: shm@84000000" is reserved but HSE driver doesn't use it at all. So I want to know what is the reserved memory for? Who will use that range of memory? Is it used by HSE firmware?

Thanks,

Hi,

Seeing the Memory Map from the S32G2/3 family, address range from "0x8000 0000" to "0x9FFF FFFF" seems to be dedicated to DDR connectivity.

If there is an "hse_reserved" memory space, could be a future proof for a possible expansion in case of needing more space or even loading HSE firmware to DDR (not information given, information on my own thoughts).

If you would like more explanation, please help us reach your local NXP representative, for them to continue this topic.

Please, let us know if this information was helpful or not.
