What is the correct flow to enable HSE in S32G3?

Hi NXP team,

I want to enable HSE in multiplecore boot environment followed AN13750.

I have enable NXP_HSE_SUPPORT & NXP_HSE_FW_FILE in u-boot and also added build parameter HSE_SUPPORT=1 in ATF.

Using the rebuild fip.bin and fip.s32 to test.

But it always boot failed with below messages: (bsp35, bsp36 and bsp37 are the same)

It looks like the ATF need to modify after HSE enable.

Could you please provide some suggestions or how to debug it?

Hi,

Can you help us elaborate on your boot sequence? How are you booting your different cores?

The message that you are showing, is it with SD boot? Or with QSPI boot?

We understand that you are trying to follow the AN13750, but we would like to understand where you are getting the shown behavior. Can you confirm that your different images work prior to creating the multicore application?

Ans:These parts followed AN13750 as below

The message that you are showing, is it with SD boot? Or with QSPI boot?

Ans: It's QSPI boot. (0x0 flashing ivt_blob.bin, 0x100000 flashing fip.bin, 0x200000 flash m7_0_app)

I only modify u-boot and atf as my first topic but not sure how can I enable HSE with multiplecore boot environment correctly.

Thanks for your feedback.

For what we can understand, you are looking for HSE to be enabled under Linux for using the Crypto operations is this correct? Not so much the Linux secure boot (since it is already being secured under the bootloader) but to enable HSE crypto operations usage under user-space, is this correct?

Please, let us know for us to investigate further on this topic.

Almost! Even the Linux driver show HSE feature work normally and M-core also work fine in the same time.

You are able to use Crypto operations on both A53 core (Linux) and M7 core? Is this what you were trying to accomplish from the beginning?
