Toolchain support for CortexM7 of S32G274

Hello,

I would like to use µVision (Keil/ARM) to write my code for the CortexM7 of S32G274.

Is this supported? Are there any examples available?

Main reason for using µVision is that I want to reuse existing code that uses RTOS RTX5, and as far as I know µVision is the only IDE that supports debugging of that RTOS.

I can't find this CPU in my installation of MCUXpressoConfig. Can I add this CPU (how?), or is it not supported by MCUXpresso?

Thanks for contacting NXP support. about your question: the supported IDE for S32G development is the S32 Design Studio, all the packages and updates are released for that environment. Although MCUXpresso is an NXP product but is meant for other families of MCUs.

Keil is not directly supported by NXP, the same applies for RTOS RTX5 in the S32G chip family. I was able to find the following document: https://www.keil.com/appnotes/files/apnt_305_v1.2.pdf in which it is described how to use the RTX5 in a S32K board, unfortunately this is not an NXP document so we won't be able to support any problems with that implementation.
