S32G ETH2CAN Problem

Hi NXP team,

We are currently studying S32G3 ETH2CAN. According to “AN13423: Using CAN2CAN, CAN2ETH and ETH2CAN Features of LLCE on S32G Application Note”, after building int_app.elf, we need to use TRACE32 to debug the sample application.

Our questions are:

  1. If we do not have a TRACE32 debugger, can ETH2CAN still run?

  2. If yes, how should it be implemented?

Thanks,

Jacky

hi,Jacky

Thank you for contacting us.

If we do not have a TRACE32 debugger, can ETH2CAN still run?

>>>Yes, but the debugger is the good way to debug the code.

If yes, how should it be implemented?

>>>You can try to create the Blob file of int_app.elf, and flash the Blob file to SD-card of Nor-Flash. Then, set the S32G to boot from SD of QSPI.

You can refer to this document for the boot from SD card.
