Hello Support Team,

We have a query related to booting QNX image on evaluation board S32G-VNP-RDB3. There is reference image available from QNX Software Center.

The output of the QNX BSP build process is .ui file.

We already have Linux Yocto BSP package working, which we built and used SD boot. It is a .sdcard image, which is successfully booting. We tried to use the QNX image in place of Linux Image file, but it does not boot.

We have following questions:-

  1. Whether any changes are required in u-boot or ATF from Linux Yocto build to boot QNX?
  2. Any changes are required in the QNX image format to boot?

PS: We also tried to boot the raw files generated from the QNX build. It also didn't boot.

Hello @shebin,

Since QNX is not a NXP product we don't have a lot of information about it. With that said, we have an application note that might help you: AN14355, always available in the S32G3 product page. Although the aim of the document is to explain how to use PFE with QNX there are a couple of section that explain how to configure and flash uboot and ATF, and how the SD card is configured. Please check sections 4 Prerequisites5 Components and 5.2.4 Prepared SD card example partition. I strongly recommend using the components versions described in the document to ensure it works.

Since some of the steps are meant to configure the components for the PFE you might be able to skip them.

Let me know if this information solved your problem.
