Can someone customize the BootRom Firmware in S32G2?

Hi,

I got this in the manual,

Says there is an BootRom firmware within the chip.

We are currently troubleshooting an booting issue, and doubt if this bootRom firmware was a customize one that modify our EEPROM by mistake.

Notice this EEPROM was used as the device in serial RCON booting.

So, could this BootRom firmware be modified by someone?
