Dear Mr/Ms
I am trying to run Linux BSP version 39.0.0 on S32G274A rev 1.0.0 from SD card but it is not possible, not
messages on UART are received.
I have tried with a previous version of the BSP (version 28.0.0) and it works properly. I have seen
that the difference between both BSP versions may be at IVT header location as:
Was this changed between chip revisions?
Does the BS
How can we modify BSP_39.0.0 to boot in rev 1.0.0?
Best regards,
Andres
Hi,
Are you using any NXP reference boards? Can you help us confirm which S32G2 mask you have under your chip? As for the following comment:
"
I have seen
that the difference between both BSP versions may be at IVT header location as:
"
We understand that all S32G2 platforms boot from uSDHC interface from 0x1000, not 0x0 [Page 1321, S32G2 Reference Manual, Rev. 7, February 2023]:
Also, we see that the older BSP's have an IVT duplication (there is 1 IVT under 0x0 and another under 0x1000), but once BootROM boots from uSDHC interface, it will look for the required IVT under 0x1000.
Please, let us know.
Hi,
I have two boards
Comparing the two SD Card images, we see that in the case of BSP 39.0.0 the IVT Header is in 0x1000 (What is aligned with current documentation of User Manual)
But for the BSP 28.0.0, the IVT is at 0x0000000
We want a confirmation about if this has changed between chip revision and what we need to modify to make the BSP 39.0.0 to work on the S32G-VNP-EVB with CPU rev 1.0
Best regards
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. On regards of the IVT, as said before, under older BSP's the IVT was duplicated on 0x0 and 0x1000, as shown below:
0x0:
0x1000:
As for the support, we see the following information under the BSP39.0 Release Notes:
In which no support for rev 1.0 is provided. We do apologize.
As for modifications, we are not seeing any information on this regard. Let us verify if there is any information available.
We do apologize.
Please, let us know.
Hi,
We have received the following update:
"Current BSP39 only supports Rev 2.0 and 2.1. We have stopped SW support for REV 1.0 since BSP34."
Please, let us know.
