I just download S32 design studio but can't import an existing project. Do I need license or activation code?

While importing a project and reach the project folder with the project shown but greyed out, the project can not be selected and move to next to complete the import.

which version of S32DS are you using (ARM, PowerPC, Vision?)

When you already installed S32DS - your license code is okay. Is the project which you are trying to import the old S32DS project?
