resolver connection

hi,

   i am trying to connect resolver with MCSXSR1CS12ZVM evaluation board. is there inbuild excitation circuit for resolver. can i test resolver output on DSO by just connecting on evaluation board or  need to do some code for it. is there any example code available to get resolver position.

I am interested in the NXP software resolver. How could you claim that it is rated ASIL D(D) when safety mechanisms defined are related to only one sensor. For example, if the resolver measures 30 degrees (amplitude range, non-stuck signal, DC shift, zero-crossing, unit circle checks are correct) when the exact value is 40 degrees. How can you detect that?
