Serial monitor for 9S12X processors

I am using CodeWarrior Development Studio for S12(X) 5.1 for a 9X12XE128 processor.  It appears the serial monitor is not supported on the X processors.  I see an old post that says they are not (yet) supported.  Is that correct or am I doing something wrong?  Any plans if the future?

Thank you, that information is interesting and potentially useful but the question was:  Does CodeWarrior support the serial monitor to the 9S12XE processors and if not, is there any plans to support it.  I presume the answer to both questions is "no" but just wanted to confirm.  Thanks.

CodeWarrior 5.1 is the exact ide that can support 9s12x family well, so 9s12xe is also included.
