Move variables from near ram to far ram

I am new user of S12X microcontrollers.

What’s the difference between the use of The RAM near and the Far?

And when it’s better to use one and not the other?

In my project, there is no space in the near ram. So I should move some variables from near to far;

Is it simple to do this by only changing addresses or not?
