Hello Kate,
This week i did some measurement on TRK-S12ZVL and DEVKIT-S12ZVL boards.
The measurements are rough as there are LED diodes on boards used as supply voltage indicators (3 on TRK; 1 on DEVKIT). As the LED diodes consumes several mAmps of current, it's quite hard to measure the current consumption in Stop mode. The problem is actually in boards, many connections around the MCU, not possible to find out where all the current flows.
From the measurement and calculations:
The TRK-S12ZVL board consumes little bit less than 1mA in Stop mode (API enabled) and around 6mA in Run mode (6.25MHz bus clock based on IRC; CPU executing couple of instructions continuously (_RESET_WATCHDOG(); function in CodeWarrior project))
The DEVKIT is similar, 1.17mA in Stop mode and 8.43mA in Run mode (API enabled and all GPIOs set as input and pulled-up).
The appropriate way to measure the current consumption in Stop mode would be to have a proto board (with ZIF socket for example) with just main supply pins connected to the MCU.
Regards,
iggi
