Hello Forum members,

I am using MC9S12A256CPVE in one of my project. I am trying to connect the target hardware using PnE micro multilink BDM tool using Progz12 application. It is failing to connect to target. What initial settings are required to work this successfully?

Thanks for your any help.

Isn't your chip secured? If unsure, try downloading Unsecure_12 utility from www.pemicro.com.

In Prog12z automatic BDM speed and MCU speed settings should be fine. Of course Port: combobox should point to valid P&E device.

Hi Kef,

Thanks for your reply.

Will this unsecure utility will unsecure the processor? Whether I will able to secure it again?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, unsecure12 will unsecure your device. Unsecure is done erasing all EEPROM and flash.

Yes, Prog12z allows to secure chip after programming. SD command will do it.

It looks that the EEPROM data I need to re-write selecting EEPROM algorithm.....correct? Any other harmful things I need to take care of?

Thanks for your help.
