Hello, I am trying to connect to an MC9S12 without uploading a firmware on it (using Codewarrior 5.2). Is this possible?? It is possible using more recent versions of CW but I haven't seen it in the 5.2 version.

Yes, it is possible. Choose Hotsync in the Connection Manager.
