Long lead time for BCP53-10(ballast transistor)

Hello,

S12ZVCA has a capability to increase current from 70mA to 170mA with ballast transistor. We use BCP53-10,115. But lead time over 30 weeks. How to choice another SOT-223 ballast transistor? Do you have any recommend?

Hi Aaron,
A general-purpose transistor can be used. You must avoid using a darlington transistor or transistors with high hFE.
Another important parameter is the max collector-emitter voltage that will depend on requirements in the application.
You can consider the other versions of the BCP53 16/TX or PTZT2907.
