IIC on MC9S12DT256 with APS12DT256SLK

Hey!

I recently purchased a product, a LiPo Fuel Gage from SparkFun, without realizing that it was an IIC device! I've been trying to learn how to send the data to an LCD screen on my HCS12 device, but I'm struggling. I've been using the S12IICV2, AN3291, and AN2318 documents in an attempt to learn how this works, but I'm not sure I'm completely understanding it. I do have some sample code, but I don't really think it's helping me much honestly. It would be awesome if I could get some support.

There is simple example code for S12NE64 (use the same IIC module) and communication with external EEPROM. You can take it as inspiration.
