Hi,

According to MC9S12XEP100RM, it mentions that S912XET256 maskset provides two firmware - Rev.A and Rev.B. But, reference manual doest not explain their difference. Someone who can tell me their difference? Thanks a lot!

Hi Alan,

In case of S12XET256

Rev.A means maskset 1M53J or 0N36H

Rev.B means maskset 2M53J or 1N36H.

So, RevB is newer version of maskset without specification of manufacturing Fab Site.

Note: Masksets M53J are produced in TSMC FAB3

Note: Masksets N36H are produced in TSMC11

According compare 1M53J and 2M53J maskset errata, maskset 2M53J have fixed several bugs in Emulated EEPROM firmware.

I hope it helps you.

Have a great day,
RadekS
