Rapid IOT not detected by Android App. ?

Hello,

I just obtain one Rapid IOT kit and everything seems to be ok on the kit side (BLE, temperature, ...).

If I check the bluetooth devices seen by my phone (ASUS Z00AD, Android 6.0.1), the IOT is seen (cf. RapidBLE detected by my Phone.png).

I installed the NXP Rapid IOT 1.2.0 app. on my phone, but I am not able to detect the IOT kit (RapidBLE not detected by NXP app.png). I tried many times, and resetted the IOT without success...

Have you any clue ?

Tank you for your email.

Yes, I tried this reset, the unit seems to be correctly working : the

RGB leds respond correctly, the movement, tap, ...are responsive.

The sensors are working (the pressure value seems to be far from the

real value).

By the way, I tried the IDE and changed the "out of the box" demo asking

for a pairing code for the BLE.

It worked successfully on my phone, showing that the rapid iot kit

communication with my phone seems to work ?

But, again, the rapid kit is not showing when I use the Android app. to

detetect the device ?

I am puzzled with this IDE : how can I change the interaction (the app.

on the phone ?) with the "application" tab of the IDE ?

I downloaded the SDK, but I have to test it.

Hello,

Could you please try reloading the OOB demo from the Rapid IoT studio to verify it does not ask you for a pin code after reloading it ?

I did that, and borrowed a phone (Samsung instead of my Asus) : it worked well.

Then, I think, it is linked with my version of Android?

Nex days, I would like to have a look to the part of the code dealing with the detection of the kit

using your IDE.
