floating-point with mpc834x in Linux

Hello,

It seems that I can't use floating point in a linux application.

I checked the default configuration in the jernel build (from buildroot), and I see that PPC_FPU is selected.

Do I need to add sw emulation to kernel build ? What is missing for floating point support ?

Check compilation option and compilation library for your application.

Freescale offers CodeWarrior compiler for the MPC83xx (http://www.freescale.com/tools/embedded-software-and-tools/software-development-tools/codewarrior-de...).

This compiler supports hardware and software floating point.

There is Linux GNU compiler for the MPC834x.
