I have a board with a P5020, PN stamped on top is P5020, but the JTAG ID shows it to be a P5010. Is there any setting I should do to change this to a P5020?

Both P5020 and P5010 devices are based on the same silicon. To distinguish between the devices, pin TEST_SEL must be pulled up for P5020 or connected to ground for P5010.

Please look P5020/P5010 device datasheet ("Hardware Specifications"), Table 1, Note 28 below the table.

"For P5010, this signal must be pulled low to GND".

P5020/P5010 Hardware Specifications document is available from P5020 Product page, "Documentation" tab:

QorIQ® P5020|NXP

Have a great day,
