Looking to use a cluster of Ls2088 or LX2160 units for some HPC. Do these SoCs implement Neon and/or SVE and does anyone have a TDP value for them.

Have a great day,

The LS2088 or LX2160 have ARM® Cortex®-A72 cores. This core includes the following features:

Advanced SIMD and floating-point unit provides support for the Armv8 advanced SIMD and floating-point execution

  • Designed to comply with IEEE Std. 754™-2008 FPU for both single and double-precision operations
  • 11 floating-point/SIMD functional units
  • Up to 4 x 32-bit per-unit execution capability

You can find more details in the Cortex®-A72 Software Optimization Guide

https://static.docs.arm.com/uan0016/a/cortex_a72_software_optimization_guide_external.pdf

QorIQ LS2088A/LS2048A Data Sheet provides LS2088A Power characteristics. You can download it from page

https://www.nxp.com/products/processors-and-microcontrollers/arm-processors/layerscape-communication...

LX2160A Data Sheet has not been public yet. There is document

 https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/LX2160A-NXP-Biggest-Multicore.pdf

which says: “by limiting the CPU speed, NXP hopes to hold the LX2160A’s power consumption to 30W thermal design power (TDP). That’s about the same TDP as the QorIQ LS2088A.”
