Hi NXP,

In my custom LS1046a board we were using eMMC 8GB on board.
As title, we are facing the issue that LS1046a can't recognize eMMC chip.

Setting was made start booting from NOR flash we also adjust RCW settings, In the boot mode if we send
"mmc list", there's no eMMC information output.

Detailed examination from hardware schematic,

1). SDHC_CLK we measured only 390KHz, not 50MHz.
2). There's no varies on SDHC_CMD, only low to high.
3). EVDD voltage is 1.8V as expected.
4). U514 eMMC select PIN is as expected. There's output for eMMC_CLK, but only 390KHz.
5). All the Voltage supplied on eMMC is as expected.
6). RST_eMMC_B was triggered from CPLD at 10ms, then always keep high.

Attached please find our schematic, RCW settings along with DTS file.

Any help would be appreciated,

Darren

Hi Pavel,

If we connect a SD card. The SD card can be recognized WITHOUT problem.

Current setup is I remove SD card and start booting from NOR.

Please  find attached command logs.

Is there any findings or suggestions for us to debug?

Thanks

It looks like there is a hardware problem for eMMC connection to your board.

Check your connection using the Chapter 5.6 of the AN5212 - LS1046 Design CheckList:
