Does PowePC QorIQ line have a future ?

Hi everyone,

Our company starts new product development. Our business is aerospace products. So far we used PowerPC QorIQ based CPUs ( namely P series from NXP). Now we have to choose the right CPU to support us 15-20 years from now. I see that there aren't new product in develop in PowerPC line since 2013 ! NXP doesn't announce any future roadmap for this architecture last 5 years ! Does it mean the NXP powerpc line is dead ?

Recent NXP processors are based on ARM architecture.
For new designs it could be recommend using ARM-based processors, but in existing designs it is possible to continue using Power Architecture device.
Please consider that NXP guaranties 15 years longevity for recent Power Architecture products - refer to the Longevity page:
