I am trying to get the  binary file for AQR107 flash in LS1046ARDB.

I asked Aquatina for the binary, then they asked to fill in the excel sheet attached.

Can I use the default setting int the excel sheet or do I  have to change something to match with LS1046ARDB?

Can NXP provide binary file which is used for AQR107 flash in LS1046ARDB?

Maybe, I think that flash of AQR107 is not clean.

Is there anyway to clean previous firmware?

"after SMT is done" means after parts are mounted  on the PCB board and soldered in refolw in the SMT(SMD) factory.

And what I want to do is to write indetendently flash memory of AQR107 using ROM writer before SMT process, so that programing process can be skiped after SMT process.

The text file explains how to program firmware of AQR107 after SMT is done.

And cld file is firmware to be written to flash memory of AQR107.

Then, can I write cld file directly to flash memory of AQR107 using ROM writer before SMT?

I am asking this question, because I am designing a router based on LS1046ARDB. And I need to write the SPI flash memory which is connected to AQR107 before  SMT of PCB. I don't have any intension to change any configuration of the interface between LS1046A and AQR107 from LS1046ARDB.

In the release note(.pdf), above comment " Remove The Following Customer Notes Section" appears.

I am asking if I need to do something to the cld file about this comment, and If the cld file can be written just by defining as a binary file in the memory writing tool or need any compiling before writing.

  1. Does the cld file require any modification to follow below note in pdf file

***Start: Remove The Following Customer Notes Section**** Product branch top-level provisioning: SMBus Address = 0 Enables user control of the LED outputs Enables LED0 Enables LED1 Disables LED2 LED0, LED1, LED2 OFF Disable 10GBASE-T Advertisement Disable 5GBASE-T and 5G NBASE-T Advertisement Disable 2.5GBASE-T and 2.5G NBASE-T Advertisement Disable 1000BASE-T Advertisement Disable 100BASE-TX FD/HD and Pause/AsymPause Advertisement DTE Detection Disabled ANEG Timeout set to = 6 seconds Counter Read Order = MSW First ***End: Remove The Following Customer Notes Section****

  1. Usually binary file has bin file extender.

Does the cld file requires compiling to write the flash of AQR107 or can it be written to the flash directly as a binary?

Normally it is not supposed that customers will program the AQR107 firmware because the RDB board is properly programmed at the factory.
