The difference between silicon revisions 1.0 and 1.1 may be determined by reading "System Version Register" (SVR)

Rev 1.0:  SVR = 0x8101_0110

Rev 1.1:  SVR = 0x8101_0111

This information is specified in MPC8308 Reference Manual, Table 7-1.
