Regarding the connection problem between the use of FS85 and Infineon MCU

Dear NXP Expert,
According to the connection method between the SC33FS8510DNES and the TC397 in the , its RSTB pin is connected to the hardware reset of the MCU. However, in Figure 2 of the fs85 safety manual, the PGOOD is connected to the hardware reset, and the RSTB is connected to the software reset. I would like to ask whether the connection method between the SC33FS8510DNES and the TC397 in the NXP SBC Attach Aurix MCU can meet the safety requirements in the safety manual.

感谢您的回复。客户的问题如下,我前面的附件里有相关的图

按照NXP SBC Attach Aurix MCU中SC33FS8510DNES与TC397的连接方式,它的RSTB引脚连接到MCU的硬件复位上,而在安全手册中Figure2上PGOOD连接到硬件复位,RSTB连接到软件复位。

请问如果按照NXP SBC Attach Aurix MCU中SC33FS8510DNES与TC397的连接方式是否满足安全手册中的安全需求?

我提到的RSTB连接到软件复位,指的是根据SMUG中4.2.11的描述“FS85/FS84 RSTB pin is intended to be connected to the MCU Software Reset input (RSTB). When RSTB is asserted low, FS0B is also asserted low.”其中提到了RSTB连接到MCU的软件复位

我的理解:所谓的软件复位就是FS85的RSTB Pin拉低复位了MCU,不知道我理解的对吗?

FS85的RSTB 可以复位MCU,当然MCU也可以通过控制pin去拉低RSTB从而去复位FS85,FS85 RSTB是双向的既可以输出也可以识别输入信号。

假如是RSTB接到了MCU的其他 可控制的pin他怎么能保证可控的去复位MCU 呢当FCCU发现MCU出现了问题需要做reset的时候?FCCU的错误不会触发PGOOD pin,但是会触发RSTB跟FS0B

 
 

 

 

PGOODpin也只是输出作用,并没有识别输入的功能。

看客户的应用吧,假如他这样设计自己能讲得通符合安全功能等级要求也是OK。

我们是推荐SBC的RSTB 直接连到MCU的RSTB or reset pin.
