Hi Team,

In one of our development projects selected NXP safety MCU and related PMIC IC details below,

  • MFS2613AMBA0AD
  • S32K322NHT0MPBST

Below are the observations based on testing,

  • Board 1:  PMIC output voltage rails are coming, stable, but reset signal is continuous low.
  • Board 2:  PMIC output voltages are not stable, continuously varying (FS26_VPRE, FS26_VCORE, FS26_VLDO1, FS26_VLDO2).The rail “VSUP” is stable.
  • Board 1 : While flashing the MCU S32K322 using S32DS (Version 3.4). We had used PEmicro Multilink Universal as interface for flashing.
  • gopalakrishna_0-1749744715922.png

After debug configurations were done, and started the debug, the above message was displayed. After that, we tried selecting target device as "S32K322-SECUREDEBUG", but the option was not available

What could be the possible reasons and solutions to this? Need your support for it.

Attached schematic for review.

Regards,

Gopala

HI Gopala

Here I only support FS26.

MFS2613AMBA0AD is blank part, there is no default output if no done OTP.

Perhaps S32K324 has same power rail requirement with S32K322,I think you can try

MFS2613AMDDCAD

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for feedback. we got the configuration file and programmed. The all voltage rails are coming but reset signal (RSTB) Pin 16 continuous "LOW".

Please let me know what could be the possible reasons.

It is observed that, the pins GPIO1, GPIO2 signals directly connected to MCU (Not Programmed), will cause any issue?

Thanks.

Regards,

Gopala

If the RSTB is pull low by FS26 fault >8s it will enter into DFS which means no output for each power rail,so I think this RSTB is stuck low from MCU side could you please disconnect it from MCU for test again?

Hi,
Thank you. Now it is fixed and voltages are stable.
Here is observations related to MCU :
MCU (S32K322) boot is not happening.
External crystal frequency (16Mhz) is not coming.
While flashing MCU - Following message shown
Reset script (C:\NXP\S32DS.3.4\eclipse\plugins\com.pemicro.debug.gdbjtag.pne_5.1.7.202112141853\win32\gdi\P&E\supportFiles_ARM\NXP\S32K3xx\S32K322.mac) completed.
BusFault: An imprecise (asynchronous) data access error has occurred.
HardFault: A fault has been escalated to a hard fault.
Please let us know the possible reasons to fix the issue.
