MC33771C balancing 1 cell but other cells are affected

hello,

i'm using the MBDT and the RD33771CDSTEVB + 33664 TPL evb to balancing a 14 cell string with matlab toolbox. in the program, i choose to enable the balancing on 1 cell (the one at max cell voltage) only but i noticed that other cells voltages are affected as well. i checked the documents it says the balancing would be disabled during sampling in the MBDT default setting so i wonder if this behavior is to do with the internal hw of the MC33771C? or is there other steps that i've missed?
