Good morning,
i have to develop an 220v ac to 12V 35A cc adjustable psu. This device must have current limiting for output.
Searching on nxp site i found this board
So i suppose to start with that and design my device.
Question are:
- half bridge llc converter still best choice?
- do i need to design also a pfc to power the board? if yes, there is some NXP reference design to do this and some code example?
- how can i reach 35A output (almost double) ?
- how can i develop adjustable output voltage (approx from 1 or 2 V)
- output current limiting will be achieved by regulating down output voltage?
I hope i can develop this device with NXP.
Thanks in advice.

Good morning Alberto,
yes the half bridge is a good choice. Your required power output is 12V*35A=420W. However instead of the mentioned KV46 Digital LLC, I would rather recommend you our LLC & PFC combo controller TEA2016AAT. Please see this link: https://www.nxp.com/products/power-management/ac-dc-solutions/ac-dc-controllers-with-integrated-pfc/...
The TEA2016AAT combination gives an easy to design, highly efficient, and reliable power supply, providing 90 W to 500 W.
Please find attached a design tool excel file for the TEA2016ATT.
We also have a TEA1995T synchronous rectifier, which increases overall effectivity of the system. Please see this link: https://www.nxp.com/part/TEA1995T#/
