P2041 is able to go for thermal shutdown or not

HI,

we are using P2041 in conduction cooled systems. I want to know whether P2041 is able to go for thermal shutdown when it reaches maximum Junction temperature.
Also I want to control this using software at certain temperature say 100 dec C and also want to put the processor in sleep mode whenever required.

Can anyone suggest  whether these things are possible or not?

Thanks for the reply Alexander.

I have already kept sensor externally to sense junction temp of processor.

With this junction temperature readings, can I control following things:

a. Automatic shutdown is it available by default or with SW I have to do?

b. Change in temp threshold for shutdown through SW?

Avinash

As I already said, this function should be implemented in user software.

Please address these questions to your software vendor.

This function should be implemented in user software, using external temperature detection circuitry.

Please look P2040 Reference Manual, Section 1.9.3 for details

Have a great day,
Alexander
