I am using the S29G01GP flash a custom P1022 board.

I am trying to use the flash programmer tool to earse, program the flash. However, it pops up an error saying it is unable to erase the memory.

When i checked out the P1022DS schematic, the flash is used in a 16 bit mode.

However in my case i am using it in 8 bit mode.

So does the flash programmer support S29GL01GP in 8 bit mode??

If not, what do i need to do to make it work?

Thanks for your time and support.

Hi,

From Flash Programmer you can select a new flash device, in your case S29GL01GP (128Mx8x1). To do that, import P1022 task, open task, click on Add Device and search for S29GL01GP (128Mx8x1).

Hello,

I did that , however, the algorithm it was using for S29G01GP 8 bit mde was amd8x1alt.elf, which is why it was not able to read the Device id.

I changed the algorithm to amd8x1.elf, and it started working.

Thanks for your time and support.
