Hi,
I using SDK1.6, cpu base p2020 for our costumized board which built "fsl-image-core".
Our uboot file, uImage file, file system and dtb file were all from SDK1.6.
Here are what we setting in u-boot
"consoledev=ttyS0"
"console=$consoledev,$baudrate $othbootargs;"
Here is the boot log:

turn off boot console udbg0
==No more log .........================
Q1. Is message "turn off boot console udbg0" is correct behavior??? Why no more messages after that??
Q2. Our setting for console is ttyS0, why it changes to udbg0 ???
Q2. If this message is right, how should I configure more to see following message ?? Example, turn on ??
Thanks for all your help in community.

Hi, All,
The $consoledev is not set. Set it into ttyS0 and this problem will fixed! Thanks a lot!!!
Hello Kuowei,
Have you noticed that in your boot log the line "Kernel command line: root=/dev/ram rw console=,115200 cache-sram-size=0x10000" is printed? It means "ttyS0" is not passed to "console".
Here is an example, please have a reference.
=> pri ramboot ramboot=setenv bootargs root=/dev/ram rw console=$consoledev,$baudrate $othbootargs;tftp $ramdiskaddr $ramdiskfile;tftp $loadaddr $bootfile;tftp $fdtaddr $fdtfile;bootm $loadaddr $ramdiskaddr $fdtaddr => pri consoledev consoledev=ttyS0 |
If you problem remains, please provide you u-boot environment variables with "pri" command.
Have a great day,
Yiping

Dear Yiping,
Yes, we found that the u-boot configuration is much older and the variable $consoledev is not set. We make a mistake and give the root cause for somebody meet the same error. Thanks for your example, it is useful.
