we are porting our hardware to the latest NXP BSP and kernel. We have some issues with the Vivante driver support in the new kernel 5.4.24.
In the past we enabled the CONFIG_DRM_VIVANTE driver and for the the new kernel we have enabled CONFIG_DRM_ETNAVIV. But this driver is not loaded in our kernel.
Are their any specific configurations necessary to enable that driver?
What driver does NXP use for the iMX6QP and the kernel 5.4.24?
Thanks for your help.
Where is the driver imx-gpu-viv-6.2.4.p4.0-aarch32 located? Is it OS agnostic? What is the API for it? Which GPUs does it work with? Any documentation?
The vivante driver for MX6 is imx-gpu-viv-6.2.4.p4.0-aarch32 for the MX6 and imx-gpu-viv-6.2.4.p4.0-aarch32 is for the G2D of MX6. but these driver are in binary form and can not be changed. and those CONFIG_DRM_VIVANTE are for MX8.
