Hi all, i'm trying to boot a system by u-boot on an MPC8306 microprocessor but it seems that something goes wrong...where can i find some detailed documentation on the topic?
Thank you all!
Mirko
Second this. We've started developing on an MPC8308 RDB (slightly different CPU), but are also interested in booting entirely out of NAND flash on our board. The BSP manual is pretty skimpy, and says nothing about how to do a full deployment to NAND flash. So any docs on booting the MPC8306 (OP) or MPC8308 from NAND would be excellent.
Hi,
See the attached patch to U-boot 2011-03.
This adds a new MPC8308RDB_NAND board config.
Strap settings on MPC8308RDB to boot from NAND: S1ff,off,on,on S2: on,on,on,off
This has not been extensively tested, but at least the board boots and gives you the u-boot prompt.
