Our device uses the TJA1042TK/3 CAN Transceiver. We are operating this IC in a dominant state.
When the CAN data is available over the CAN bus, the CAN Transceiver works in normal mode and the STB pin is Low in this case.
When there is no CAN data available on the CAN bus, we check the RXD Pin and after 2 minutes, we force the STB pin to High and make the CAN Transceiver go to standby mode. After that, we push our device to sleep mode, and in that case, the VDD 5V will also be cut off and there will be no voltage available at Pin 3 of TJA1042TK/3.
While doing this transition, the CANH and CANL pins are coming from 2.5V (with reference to GND) to 1.67V and after 15 sec it is going to 0V.
During this 15-second window, if any activity happens on CAN then the MCU is not getting any wake-up interrupt from the RXD pin and this is some undetermined state that is creating the issue. Please let us know how we can make the CANH/CANL pin go from 2.5V to 0V directly without any delay of 15 sec.
Thanks
