I am using the PCF85176t LCD driver to control a 4 digit 7 segment LCD in static mode.  The supply current consumption is about 12-15 ma.Why is the current so high.  I was expecting about 7-10 ua.

Hi:

What inputs and outputs affect the current used by the PCF85176t?  Can you give me a more detailed explanation?

Thanks

Ted

Hi

Please read carefully about datasheet EC table and test condition and the notes.

-fclk(ext) = 1536 Hz
VDD = 3.0 V; Tamb = 25 C

-[2] LCD outputs are open-circuit; inputs at VSS or VDD; external clock with 50 % duty factor; I2C-bus inactive.
