[SJA1110] SPI driver can not work

Hi everyone,

I am a software RD who's working on SJA1110 ethernet switch project.

I am testing the SPI driver on SJA1110, but I can not measure any signal on the oscilloscope even in master or slave mode.

Does anybody have an idea for this?

Is there any example or document about how to use SPI driver?

Thanks, Ethan.

Hi Ethan_L,

so you want to try to configure the switch via SPI from S32G? Did you check the DIP switch settings are in the correct position?

They should be set to Serial Boot.

Hi Kevin,

I set the DIP switch to serial boot mode, but still can't measure any signal.(resistance R607, R624)

Is there any example or document about spi?

Thanks,

Ethan.

Hi Ethan_L,

can you provide additional information? Which hardware are you using (NXP reference board or own design), which software (SJA1110SDK)?

Hi Kevin,

I use S32G-VNP-RDB2 EVM and SDK is SJA1110_SDK(version 1.0.1).

I modified the example "switch_config_s32g_vnp_rdb" for testing.

I try to make S32G274 and SJA1110 communicate via SPI, but it doesn't work.

Thanks,

Ethan.
