SGTL 5000 Input Mono input to stereo Output

We are trying to play audio in the speakers, through a Audio DSP module. Since DSP sends the audio only in the right channel alone, we cannot configure SGTL5000 to play audio in both of the speakers i.e only right speaker has been playing the audio. But we need audio played in the both the speakers.

Is it possible to share the routing we need to do, to get audio on both the speakers with input from right channel alone?

Hi,

Make sure the DAC is enabled, check if DAC_POWERUP bit on register CHIP_DIG_POWER is enabled. And that DAC_MONO bit on CHIP_ANA_POWER register is set to 0x1, this way the DAC would be set in Stereo Mode.

If the above does not work, then, there is a bit named MONOMODE_DAC that can be used to copy the left channel DAC data to the right channel. This allows both left and right to play from MONO dac data, this is activated by setting bit MONOMODE_DAC on register CHIP_ANA_TEST2 to 0x1.
