SC18IM704 High speed is slower on the I2C bus

I have a problem with the SC18IM704 chip. The chip can receive a UART signal up to 460 Kbit but when it receives messages on this speed the I2C messages will become really slow. The speed of the I2C bus has already been changed to 375 KBit, but the grap in between the bytes is unwanted behaviour. The gap also increases when the UART message stop. Why is that?

No, only the I2C speed issue. The UART messages are received correctly by the SC18 chip at high speed (200Kbit+) but when we go over 153k6 the I2C messages will become slower the expected.

If the UART has fast speed, does IIC still work slowly?

Yes, when the UART is running on a fast speed the I2C works slowly. When we increase the speed of the UART, then the I2C bus become slower.

Just to confirm, I have encountered the same issue.

The I2C speed is as expected, but the gaps between bytes aren't.
