Hi Jarvis,

please state your Annual Volume for this project. Please see below an answer from an application engineer I have contacted.

DESCRIPTION

For such as low volume I don’t think we can provide much support. The customer need to debug issue on its own.

  1. Hook up a logic analyzer to the I2C or SPI bus and the device TX/RX pins. Watch for the code to send data to the SC16IS750.
  2. Does the code that attempt to send the data is correct? Send something sensible like 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
  3. Does to code send these data to the transmit FIFO?
  4. Does anything come out of the TX pin?
  5. Does the TX signal come all the way out to the RS232/485 cable?

Any data the come into the TXFIFO will be automatically send out on the TX pin.’

With Best Regards,

Jozef

Hi Jozef,

Please kindly review below information, and share your suggestion.

  1. Hook up a logic analyzer to the I2C or SPI bus and the device TX/RX pins. Watch for the code to send data to the SC16IS750.

[4/13,Ans:]We had setting I2C LA for SCL/SDA

  1. Does the code that attempt to send the data is correct? Send something sensible like 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

[4/13,Ans:]We had used to type character from keyboard success but cannot transfer file

  1. Does to code send these data to the transmit FIFO?

[4/13,Ans:]Should be YES base of above answer we type character is success

  1. Does anything come out of the TX pin?

[4/13,Ans:] TX waveform is available on scope, but cannot make sure data incorrect

  1. Does the TX signal come all the way out to the RS232/485 cable?

[4/13,Ans:] The TX /RX will connect to level shift and RS485 transceiver

Thanks.

Hi Jarvis,

could you please provide the Annual Volume for your project? Or is the project (and the Annual Volume) not defined yet?

With Best Regards,

Jozef

After checked the Annual Volume for the project, it's about 10k/yr for 5 years.

Thanks.

Hi Jarvis,

I have bad news. The application engineer has sent me an answer. Please see below. I apologize for inconvenience.

DESCRIPTION

I can not offer any help without looking at the actual scope shot to show exactly what is happening. As I said before, for such a low volume the customer need to debug his own issue.

With Best Regards,

Jozef
