SC16IS740 power supply

According to the documentation, there are 2 power supply ranges: 2.5 +- 0.2V and 3.3 +- 0.3V.

Why is that? And since my board has only 2.8V, can i use 2.8V to power SC16IS740?

Dear Milensky,

you need to use either the 3.3V +-0.3V or 2.5V +-0.2V as stated in the datasheet. Unfortunately the 2.8V is not within the boundaries. Please also use the recommended pull-up resistors for the !IRQ interrupt pin.
