Rotary Encoder Interfacing with PCAL9722

We are going to use Rotary incremental Encoder (Quadrature output) via SPI to IO Expander.

As Rotary Encoder requires Interrupt pin to interface, can you please Confirm whether it is possible to interface Rotary Encoder with PCAL9722 I/O Expander?

Does PCAL9722 supports interrupt on Rising as well as falling edge?

Yes, the PCAL9722 supports interrupt functionality that can be configured by level or edge, and each interrupt can be cleared individually without affecting other interrupt events.
