inventory like that is a pretty short term solution; I'd have to have someone that wants to hold onto like 15 years worth of inventory to make that a viable direction. Sure it'll put things off for a year or two after a last call (and we've done that before to buy time) but...
No what I'm after here is an explanation from NXP about what they are thinking here. Are they just deep 6ing this part because they've got some other parts in the pipeline to replace it at some level or are they just bored with this line of solution and getting out of the business?
Do I hang on waiting for them to come out with something along those lines or do I need to go talk to e.g. TI or Maxim to get what I need long term?
